GRATITUDE

Today, Thanksgiving, Corrina & David are in their new home giving them more space & bathrooms for their family of four. No more waiting in line to use the one and only bathroom at Fennbrook Road. There are still many more boxes to unpack and find a place to put their stuff (aka precious items). They are settling in and transforming this house into their home.
This Thanksgiving, I am grateful to have Corrina at home living and loving life. Every day is filled with activities with the focus being movement. The most important change I've witnessed in Corrina is thanks to Dr. Evan Fox who challenged her to get back on her mat and practice yoga every day for 10 weeks. This challenge took place on a stormy summer night in Dr. Fox's office and the light from within became a bit brighter that day going forward. Early the following morning, Corrina began her journey of creating a yoga and meditation practice that fits her body, mind and soul.
With her yoga practice once again in place and blossoming, Corrina's yoga teacher and mentor, Cheri Clampett Borda, encouraged her to check out the training programs offered by Accessible Yoga. After a bit of research and realizing there aren't any accessible yoga classes in the greater Hartford area, Corrina and I are planning to enroll in the Accessible Yoga teacher training to be offered in New Haven at the Breathing Room May 1-3, 2020 with the hopes of bringing accessible yoga classes to the greater Hartford area. We will keep you posted . . .
GRATEFUL for another day of loving Corrina and all that she continues to give and has given to each and everyone of us. Corrina - my daughter, teacher and mentor - I am because you are.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in this far reaching community who loves and supports us on this journey called life. We love you more each day.
