Our Miracle
At 41 years old, Corrina Richards, a full-time yoga teacher, first noticed something was amiss when she experienced a limp in her right leg accompanied by headaches. After a visit to the UConn ER on September 18, 2018, we were devastated to learn that she had a large, butterfly-shaped mass in her brain. A week later, a biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of inoperable GBM multiforme stage 4, with a prognosis of just 12 to 15 months. The only hope for survival was to undergo a standard treatment protocol that included six weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. Despite getting second opinions from Yale New Haven Smilow Cancer Center and renowned experts at Jackson Labs and Dana Farber, the diagnosis remained the same. With few options available, Corrina chose to proceed with the standard treatment. However, after completing six months of chemotherapy, she decided, with her neuro-oncologist's support, to discontinue the treatment due to its severe impact on her overall wellbeing. As a family, we refused to give up. Thus began our journey to find another approach.
The first year following Corrina’s diagnosis was devastating. An infection at the point of her initial biopsy resulted in her loss of speech and mobility on the right side of her body. After multiple attempts to treat the infection intravenously, an emergency craniotomy was required to save her life from the pressure which had built up. Hospital stays and antibiotics became routine and, yet, Corrina was not getting better.
In June 2019, Corrina began taking a double dose of SeaCare, an all-natural dietary supplement. Within two weeks, her energy & appetite had returned pre-chemo levels. Three months later, her MRI showed zero signs of infection, her midline , once deformed from the tumor had shifted back to normal, and the tumor was reduced by 30%. After 6 months, her tumor was down by 75%. And by May 2020, eleven months after starting the double dose of SeaCare, Corrina's tumor had completely disappeared. Her neuro-oncologist referred to her as a "living miracle" and attributed her healing to "divine intervention and sea cucumber."
September 2023 marked five years since her diagnosis at which point Corrina was considered to be officially ‘in remission’. To this day, she continues to thrive. All subsequent MRIs confirm the absence of tumor regrowth and she’s been stable since May 2020.
Corrina's story is not an isolated one; we have come across others who have experienced similar outcomes after taking SeaCare, both locally and internationally. We feel compelled to share Corrina's story with you, from the initial shock and despair of her diagnosis in September 2018 to the miraculous disappearance of her inoperable tumor 20 months later. We believe that SeaCare played a significant role in giving Corrina a new lease on life, and we hope her journey can bring hope and inspiration to others facing similar challenges.
