Every moment is a moment…Rumi

I've been wanting to find time to write a quick update but the moments are overflowing one into another. Corrina's speech, reading and writing have blossomed and we continue to see progress each and every day. Today we ventured outside for a short walk. This weekend we started counting how many times Corrina ventures up and down her stairs (12 steps from top to bottom) to get from the main floor to her bathroom on the second floor. I'm amazed at the strength and determination Corrina brings to each and every day.

As the infection progressed, fluid build-up at the site of the craniotomy eventually ruptured, forcing another hospital stay. You can see the massive impact of steroids administered to reduce the swelling of the hemorrhage in the swelling of Corrina’s face.

Corrina is back on IV antibiotics for an infection that was diagnosed on January 24 which resulted in a short hospital stay. Corrina, David and I are back on the IV train which takes off every 8 hours 7 days a week for a 4-week duration. The targeted end date is February 25.

Never Stop Moving. Corrina & David exercise in the fresh air at the reservoir - one of their favorite places for hikes early in their relationship.

I bring myself back to Rumi each and every day, "Every moment is a moment." I am so incredibly grateful for what, how, who, where and when Corrina has grabbed my soul which she continues to do every moment of this journey we travel together.

xo,

Corrina's mom
