Another day waiting

On the backside of this weekend, Corrina is a bit more rested and nourished than she was going into it.

Some adjustments had to be made to get the guest room ready for Corrina at the home where she grew up. The rather stiff mattress required a pillow topper mattress cover which Steve found at Bed, Bath & Beyond via texting me photos to determine what to buy. Give Steve a project and he will see it through to completion. Next he had to convert this stiff mattress into a 30 degree angle at the top by using large yoga bolsters on the underside. I am oh so grateful for what this man, my husband, has done and continues to do for my children.

Saturday morning found me at Corrina's home with David gathering up Corrina's bedding since my cotton sheets were too crinkly and the comforter too heavy. Needless to say, Corrina did not sleep well Friday night but has managed to sleep a bit more these past few nights. She doesn't like it when I come in early in the morning to replenish liquids ;-(

I picked up two prescriptions for Corrina on Friday afternoon - one to take away headaches and the other to minimize nausea. The irony of it all are the side effects of the two meds . . . the anti nausea medicine may cause headaches and the headache medicine may cause nausea. Corrina opted to stick with tylenol extra strength and tackle the nausea with the prescription drug. It's working.

What I loved most about this weekend was hearing Corrina's laughter while having a conversation with her brother in San Diego and a few other times while talking with David.
