ALWAYS A SMILE OR LAUGH

I have just returned from visiting and helping Corrina in West Hartford. We had a good week and Corrina is stable and very active. I feel lucky and privileged to witness the love in action on the HealTeam C.

Claudia and David are just amazing and I am inspired by their dedication and commitment.

David is doing an excellent job of keeping you updated about all the best parts of what is going on in their lives as well as taking care of Corrina, his children and his job! He and Claudia are the core of Corrina’s support team day in and day out.

I feel very privileged to be part of Corrina’s team, even if only for a week, but the real center of this healing spirit is Corrina. Ongoing is the five days of high dose chemotherapy with 23 days off. The chemo is pretty hard on her with the nausea and fatigue but she does not try to avoid it and soldiers on with a smile. Well, sometimes not much of a smile. Her days are filled with physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as personal training and soon group therapy, all appointment expertly arranged by Claudia. Corrina is always busy.

Every day it’s a gift to be with her. The love she shows for David inspires me to be a better partner in my own marriage.
